We are a small Church with a big heart and so are always looking for new ways to serve God and those around us. Due to COVID our regular events are suspended. Here are some past events to give you a flavour of our ministires and partnership with organisations.

Messy Church at Sutton Hill

Messy Church is our main alternative congregation.

It's Church but not as you know it.

We arrive and have tea, coffee and a snack.

There are crafts and activities for all ages to take part in, followed by a celebration time of songs and a Bible story, finished off with a hot cooked meal. It's free, for all ages.

We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 3:15pm

"Messy church provides me and my children with a safe space to have fun, learn and engage with the community" Jess

"As a family I absolutely love attending Messy Church with my two young children, knowing that they are getting a home cooked meal with members of our wonderful community. They're getting a great understanding of God's great journey with fun activities to take part in, supported by our awesome volunteers. We look forward to seeing our new friends each month and being there for one another all because of our Messy Church group.

Thank you guys xx"

Big Stories for Little People

We run a group for parents, carers and pre-schoolers.

There are lots of toys and things to do including our Bible story and song time, with a healthy snack of fruit and juice.  This group runs on a Friday morning at 9.30.

This is a great chance to sit and share a drink with other parents.

Big Stories for Little People has been a real life line for us. It is run by lovely people who are more than willing to go above and beyond to help you if needed. My youngest two have both loved coming to play in a loving friendly group and now that they're both at school and nursery I still come along for a coffee and a chat.

Every Tuesday morning we have our craft morning.

You may have never picked up a knitting needle in your life! Don't worry, there are spare needles and wool.

Always a cup of tea on hand and people to teach you.

Mens Bible Study Group

The men meet together on alternate Mondays to study the Bible and discuss current issues and support and pray for each other.

Sutton Hill church host’s a Men’s group once a fortnight. We meet at 7:00pm, starting with a cup of coffee/tea and general chat, before going on to study a subject in the bible. We then end the session around 8:30 – 9:00pm with a short period of prayer.

Our latest sessions of study are taken from a book called “52 men of the Bible.”. These are men who have had a large influence in leading the people to worship God. Or even worshipping God, regardless of what other people thought.

Although the meetings are held in Sutton Hill church, men from other churches, and those who are new Christians, who want to know more about God, are welcome to attend.

Open Church

The church is open on a Friday from 1.00 - 2:55pm.

This is a personal time for peaceful, private prayer.
